Mad-Hatter Tea Party

We Just had a Mad-Hatter Tea Party / Baby Shower.
Here are a few pictures .  We had a wonderful group.    The theme of the party fit perfectly with our decor, which has been described "Quirky and Artsy"  as per Trip Advisor Review.   Our menu included Salmon and Cream Cheese on crackers, Chicken salad mini sandwiches, Chocolate Covered Strawberries, Fruit salad and home made Maple pecan scones.  We certainly enjoy our events, and especially creative ones such as this one.

New Years Breakfast at Robin's Nest

New Years morning: Great table set for our guests.  Here are some photos:  Menu:

We all dropped our New Years resolutions into a lovely MacKenzie-Childs vase without signing them of course.  We then passed around the vase and drew one.  The most romantic was from an older gentlemen in his 70s, David.  His partner at the table was named Christina, and she was in her 70s as well.  Upon depositing his New Years Resolution, he said he was the only one who could fulfill it.  When it was drawn by someone else, it said, "To spend more time with Christina".  We should all be that lucky to have someone that crazy over us when we're in our 70s.  Here are some photos:  Happy New Year! Best, Robin

Dogs and Kitties

PET OF THE WEEK:  I'm learning to blog to get the word out on my really superb, hidden gem, 20 year old bed and breakfast in Montrose/Houston.  I am so grateful for my webmaster.  He has dragged me, the reluctant entrepreneur (oxymoron),  into technology.  Here's are two of my kitties, as well as a "Pet of the Week" photo..

It's a beautiful day in Houston.  December 3rd, and we could be in shorts.  Tomorrow morning we have 18 for breakfast!  I serve a continental or full.  Tomorrow we're having Huevos Rancheros.   Here's a photo of our table setting: Come join us!

Art, Horses

Presently working in pen and ink. I've included a horse I've done in pen and ink. Be pleased to trade some ideas on pen and ink. I'm thinking about doing a bloodhound in pastel, but those long ears and blood shot eyes seem to cry for ink. What do you think? Here's a photo of a horse I've done recently.

Dogs and Kitties

I would hate to live without my animals.  I have two dogs and five cats.  If you're coming this way,  your pets are welcome to come along with you.  And it's not just one little room set aside -- it's all of our rooms and/or suites!

Madhatter Tea Party

Robin's Nest's interior is full of creative spaces.  We just booked a Madhatter Tea Party from someone who walked in and said "This is it".  Here is a few photos from a previous tea party..  What do you think?
